Small to medium sized deciduous shrub found on dry, rocky slopes, mesas, flats and along roadsides to 3,500 feet elevation. Establishes easily. Striking yellow flowers and graygreen leaves make it one of the most conspicuous plants of the desert. Poor forage value.
