Cool season, perennial sod-former with vigorous, shallow, fibrous root system. Adapted to moist, or periodically moist, saline soils. Able to withstand periodic flooding and shallow water tables. Moderately palatable. Excellent for establishing cover on saline soils; also used as a turfgrass.
