Thymophylla pentachaeta Golden dyssodia

Formerly known as Dyssodia pentachaeta. Small, deciduous subshrub resembling Thymophylla acerosa but shorter lived. Bright yellow daisy-like flowers; bloom April to October on dry slopes and mesas between 2,500 and 4,500 ft. elevation. Little forage value. Golden dyssodia draws butterflies and is attractive in desert landscapes.
