Drought tolerant perennial; full sun. Brilliant red tubular flowers are bilaterally symmetrical upon erect, nearly leafless stems, blooming from June to September. Prefers dry, rocky slopes in canyons or open woods and is found colonizing disturbed areas. Recommended for inclusion in wildflower or erosion control mixes.
