Formerly known as Aster tanacetifolius. Drought tolerant biennial; full sun to partial shade. Bright violet daisy-like flowers bloom June to October on dry, rocky hillsides and in open sandy areas from the Southwest to the prairies. Occurs from 5,000 ft. to 8,000 ft. elevation.
