Formerly known as Elymus triticoides. Cool season, long-lived perennial loose sod-former with extensive root system. Adapted to a wide variety of soils as long as they are subirrigated, wet or occur in precipitation zones greater than 18 inches. Extremely saline tolerant and very palatable. Useful for improving saline rangelands and waterfowl areas.
