Semi-evergreen shrub, 2 to 4 ft. tall with a deep root system found on dry shallow to deep soils from near sea level to 7,500 feet elevation. Extremely drought tolerant. Good palatability for sheep, goats, and deer, especially in dormant months; poor for cattle.
