What Is QuickGuard?

QuickGuard got its name for its ability to germinate rapidly. It is considered the most tolerable hybrid plant out there that can withstand harsh conditions, and is an excellent choice when it comes to barren environments.

More specifically, QuickGuard is an annual cereal grain that establishes itself in a previously barren environment. Is QuickGuard Good For Soil?

According to the United States Department of Agriculture, there are four basic principles for improving soil health:

  1. Maximize soil cover by keeping the soil covered as much as possible
  2. Minimize disturbance by moving the soil as little as possible
  3. Maximize biodiversity by keeping plants growing throughout the year to feed the soil
  4. Maximize the presence of living rooms by diversifying crop rotations as much as possible

#1: Creates Fulfilling Ecosystems

Cover crops feed many types of soil organisms.
