Formerly known as Elymus triticoides. Cool season, long-lived perennial loose sod-former with an extensive root system. Adapted to a wide variety of soils as long as they are sub-irrigated, wet or occur in precipitation zones greater than 18 inches. Extremely saline tolerant and very palatable. Useful for improving saline rangelands and waterfowl areas.
