Secale montanum Mountain rye

Short-lived introduced perennial rye from southwest Asia. Adapted to a wide range of conditions across the U.S. Grows well on all types of soil in elevations from 500-7,000 ft., in temperatures from 23° to 86° F, where there are 10-40 inches annual precipitation.
