Trifolium hirtum Rose clover

Short to medium, winter growing annual. Most widely used in California, but persists in many other areas of the USA at altitudes under 3,500 ft. where there are more than 10 inches of precipitation. Used primarily as a range legume, it reseeds itself readily and contributes greatly to the overall quality of a pasture. Highly nutritious and palatable, even when dry; non-hardy.
