Lycium andersonii Wolfberry

A valuable and noticeable shrub which is widely distributed throughout the desert. Its wintergreen foliage becomes covered with lavender blossoms in early spring. This shrub is attractive in late spring and summer when seen with its numerous reddish berries hanging from stiff, thorny stems. The berries are edible and are sought after by birds.
