Formerly known as Ratibida columnaris. Drought tolerant perennial; full sun. Drooping yellow ray petals surround a conical disk and are borne on a single stem. A showy species common on gentle slopes, roadsides or grassy prairies, especially on well-drained limestone soils. Recommended for inclusion in reclamation or wildflower mixtures.
