Seed Availability

Granite Seed Company makes a concerted effort to stock in sufficient quantity every species listed on this website. We determine the quantity that we need to stock based on previous years’ usages. However, when an unusual event occurs, such as a devastating fire year or inordinately poor crop production, it may cause us to run out of seed for a certain species before its new crop is available. To ensure that you get the species in the quantities that you require, call us as soon as you know what you need so that we can reserve the seed for your project.Certified seed and source identified seed are often available if required for your project.If your project requires a local origin or species that are not normally commercially available, you may wish to plan ahead and contract a special collection or grow-out.See also site-adapted seed, defined.
